Yes....Christmas Is Indeed On The Horizon.....

Just turn on the television. You are informed of it over and over. Oh well..tis the season and all that. Put up a tree a few days ago....it is a nice fir...something...not sure what kind it it...I just picked the nicest one in my price range...LOL. Have it decorated...mostly with old childhood ornaments I have kept carefully boxed away. I think my trees always have thier own personality at some point...which is how it should be. Those pre-decorated things you see in store displays are so...BORING. :) I attempted to make some sugar cookies tonight. They turned out OK...even if the frosting colors are a little bright...(I couldn't get the red

National Stuff Yourself Day....

I watched the news last night...on a local station...and they showed a story about people standing in long lines to get free food for Thank.sgiving...a turkey, etc. Part of me knows there are so many homeless and jobless out there who won't be enjoying much today...but part of me also knows there are those individuals who simply are doing it to get something for nothing. The same goes for the various agencies who do toy drives and then hand out toys to those who cannot afford them for thier children...many show up because "hey...its' free...and so we can lie and get stuff...it is SO easy!!". I actually know a couple people who have done this

Mellow Sunday.....

A quiet day in my life for a change. Usually, there is some type of chaos going on...or so it seems anyway. I did get into a discussion with someone on line the other day though...about Halloween. The person I was talking to had posted a message on an "anti-Halloween" message board. She stated how it was an evil and pagan day...and no decent individuals should take part in any of it. That included taking little kids treat or treating, dressing up, having parties, decortating..etc, etc...her list went on and on. She said "my children will be kept safely away and unaware of the usual activities done on Oct.31"....which made me wonder how she w
