Too Much Reality Can Give You A Headache

Journal Entry: Tue Nov 17, 2009, 2:59 PM
As I have been listening to the evening news, I am once again reminded of how much goes on that is accepted as "regular life". The first news story was concerning a 3 year old little boy, who had been with his mother at an E.R. emergancy room with his mother, who as being treated for a minor injury. Apparently, her friend/boyfriend was also there. After a short period of time, this friend/boyfriend takes the kid, the womans' keys and drives off in her car..without any permisson from the woman herself. The police are called...they find the car with the kid still inside and end up chasing this man for a brief time..finally boxing him somehow. The boy isn't hurt but it is unclear why the man did this or where he was going. Of course this man denies doing anything wrong...but is arrested, charged with resisting arrest among other thing. The mother is shown gushing all over the rescued kid..as she tells the cameras "I never would think he(the guy) would do ANYTHING like this"....Un Huh...how well did Mom know this guy? It burns the hell out of me when so many women get involved with random men without concern for themselves and worse yet, without concern for the safety of thier minor children. Yeah...you "love him" and "wanna be with him forever"...yet you only have recently met him or whatever. People put on different faces depending on the situation of the moment they are in... then..when it all falls apart, we look around and go "WTF?"....and look for someone ANYONE to blame...except ourselves. The happy ever after scenero is for all practical purposes, a work of fiction. Those that find it are a rare breed.
When will women...of ALL ages finally wake up and notice? What is even worse is women like this who have daughters of thier own pass on the "gotta depend on a man" gene to them quite often. A relationship is suppose to be equal..not stupid.

I also heard that the latest acceptable word...thanks to the internet...is "UNFRIEND"....taken from, I am guessing FACEBOOK or MYSPACE. Please...how often have you told someone that you are "unfriending" them for whatever reason....(sob, sob....how tragic). All I have to say about that is..get over it..and move on. How could you possibly used that word in an intelligent conversation without sounding brain damaged? (I am sorry Bob, but I feel the need to unfriend you for not coming to my BBQ....LMAO)

Finally...I see the lovely Sarah Palin has released a book. Wow...already a best seller too. Her book "Going Rogue"...is about her life up to the point of running for VP last year, etc. She makes statements about John McCain, etc....(avoiding much about her lame son in law..who is posing for Playgirl as a centerfold...gross...) Her "you betcha" attitude is a little too much for me..but at first, I did think she was going to come across as exactly what our country needed as a VP canidate. I am thankful to those who did not vote the McCain/Palin ticket. The term "disaster waiting to happen" comes to mind now. She won't say is she plans to run again in the next election...but I am hoping she decided against it. I do not believe she has the knowledge or skills needed to hold that position for an entire 4 years..and God Forbid she would become President due to some tragic event. It is too scary to imagine. She would be commander in chief in name only...few would take her seriously. I do not dislike her, but I don't think she is a suitable choice for big government.
And...honestly, I did not believe there were that many in the US that think President Obama is really some kind of terrorist in disguise....Oh wait...his middle name IS "Hussain".....OMG...we are doomed as a nation. He must have a stash of major weapons, etc...somewhere in the White House at this moment. Prepare for hell and damnation at any moment.
President Obama was even critized for bowing when he recently made a state visit to Japan. "Those who know" claim he did it in a very un-classy manner..and that visiting governments shouldn't do that anyway. If you read anything about past history...every US president that has visited Japan in the last 50 years has done the same thing when meeting those in power there. The purpose of Obamas' visit is to promote communications between our two countries...I doubt a bad handshake or shakey bow is going to ruin anything. We are a world power...that is not going to change. Maybe next time, Miss Manners needs to be on board just in case.

I got invited to go to the circus....yep...a real circus. It is here in town starting tomorrow and a friend just won free tickets. I have not been to such a thing in a long time. It should be interesting...and fun. And....YEAH...they always have POPCORN everywhere...YUM!! You cannot go wrong with clowns and popcorn. LOL :) The kid in me is really quite excited already. ;)
